Vote Ambrose KING, Jr.: Proven Servant Leader Shaping Tomorrow's Dividends

I Believe

I BELIEVE that teachers should be fully supported in creating inclusive, diverse and empowering environments that centers around students in their learning journey

I BELIEVE school safety first,as of October 1, 2024 none of our schools have metal detectors.

I BELIEVE students with disabilities deserves a graduation with their peers rather than a separate one (as of 2024 Tift County has engaged in a graduation for students with disabilities separate from the graduation ceremony with pomp and circumstance seen/streamed online)

I BELIEVE school systems do not have the right to display books on the shelves of primary, elementary, and middle school libraries that are considered “objective sensitive material” about sexuality, lgbtq, sexual stimulation, etc.

I BELIEVE it is the responsibility of the parent(s)/guardian to determine what their student(s) will read. I believe the School System should not make available materials that may be unapprovable to parents. If parents want their children to read certain books, they are to decide, not the government. I am a Parent’s Rights loyalist.

I BELIEVE local boards should develop award-winning programs for non-traditional learners, especially those struggling in and with traditional school-settings and curriculums.

I BELIEVE we have lost too many outstanding educators due to lack of support from the local board and local school leadership.

I BELIEVE the Board of Education has a responsibility for the retention of outstanding professionals and for the recruitment and retention of ethnically diverse teachers and support staff to reflect that of its growing 50+% of its entire student body.

I BELIEVE that transgender athletes should only participate in sports or use restrooms of the gender they were assigned at birth.

I BELIEVE in Student-centered schools where all students feel safe to learn and included, gain a sense of belonging, and a found community.

I BELIEVE teachers should have autonomy because they are trusted, professional experts at their crafts and should not have to teach the same way. We should treat them like the professionals they are.

I BELIEVE in a supportive environment for school stakeholders to come to me with their questions and concerns and will work collaboratively toward positive outcomes.

I BELIEVE the Board of Education needs to establish a Council of Hispanic Families to provide a platform for parents whose children make up around 20% of the district’s students, who are historically underserved, and are struggling academically.
